Study programs
Basic academic studies.
Study program at the Faculty of Ecological Agriculture on Basic academic studies lasts 4 years (8 semesters) where 240 ECTS is obtained, and after graduation students receive the title of Agricultural Engineer. In the structure of the study program at the basic studies the following sets of subjects are represented: scientific and professional, the academic and general educative, theoretical and methodological and professionally-applicable. Study program consists of compulsory subjects and elective subjects. By selection of elective subjects (there are 6 in the course of basic studies) students can shape their academic profiles. Internship is required during the studies (second, third and fourth year). At the end of the 8th semester a final paper is prepared and after it is passed a Diploma is obtained.
In addition to the accreditation of the program for Basic academic studies Faculty of Environmental Agriculture also accredited the program for Graduate academic studies (master).
Graduate academic studies.
Study program at the Faculty of Ecological Agriculture at the Graduate academic studies lasts 1 year (2 semesters) where 60 ECTS are obtained, and after graduation the student receives the title of Graduate Agricultural Engineer-Master.
In the structure of the study program at the Graduate academic studies the following sets of subjects are represented: scientific and professional and professionally-applicable. Master's Program in structure corresponds to similar programs in the EU. Study program consists of compulsory subjects (3) and elective subjects. By selection of certain elective subjects (there are 30) students can shape their Master’s profile. These studies are at a much higher level and are related to research, use of various methods, professional internship, use of foreign literature, etc. In the course of these studies professional internship is mandatory (first and second semester). At the end of the second semester master’s thesis is done, and after it is passed a Diploma is obtained.
Upon completion of the Master’s program the best students may choose to continue with doctoral studies or to work at the scientific institutes or the respective faculties as they are qualified for independent scientific research. At the beginning of basic and master studies students get mentors who guide them through the process of mastering the study program, final paper and master’s thesis.
